She included: “So … here I am. Raw. And there YOU are … taking a look at me, studying this picture. Possibly you’re thinking, ‘Whoa, she looks ROUGH.’ And if you are, great! You are worthy of to see the REAL me. The genuine me.”

“You should have to see the REAL me. The genuine me,” she composed.

It’s not the first time that Banks, a previous Sports Illustrated cover model, has shown her genuine self to the masses.

In 2007, she appeared on “The Tyra Banks Program” in a swimsuit to react to Australian tabloid claims that she had gained 40 pounds.

With all the painful review stars get daily– Kelly Clarkson is a prime example– I’m sure we can all concur that Banks’ picture was a pretty bold relocation. Yet, the picture, which rapidly got more than 100,000 likes, is just another example of Banks’ effort to empower women, like the famous minute she forcefully slammed tabloids for buffooning her weight-gain. Congratulations to you, Ms. Banks!

Their evidence was a picture that showed her in the very same swimwear. Banks reacted by saying, “I think it’s curvy, I think it’s gorgeous, I believe it is hot, I believe it is attractive,” to loud applause from her audience.

Which was hardly the last time she would take on body image. Banks later carried out an experiment in which women were made to go to “Bodyville,” a place where they were evaluated on first impressions, to illustrate how individuals criticize one another.

Prominent voices need to handle essential problems like body image. That makes all of us the happier that someone like Banks is here to challenge them.

As for her morning face, we confess we didn’t recognize her when we initially saw it.

However, there’s absolutely nothing rough about the way somebody looks when they have simply rolled out of bed. It’s genuine, which’s the way we like it.
